Aptiva - How to install / uninstall Dr. Brain

To install Dr. Brain onto your Aptiva:
1. From your Windows 95 desktop, double click on the Aptiva Installer icon
2. Insert the Lost Mind of Dr. Brain CD into the CD-ROM drive and wait for the light to go on and then off.
3. Click on the "find install program" button if application was not installed previously or if installed previously, select "show uninstalled programs" tab.
4. The installer will create an icon for Dr. Brain. Highlight it by clicking on it once and then click on the install button.
5. At the Sierra setup menu, click the test button. The sound card test appears. If sound is heard click yes.
6. Then a cdrom detected window appears. Click OK
7. When the system test results box appears, click the button labeled main menu.
8. When the Sierra main menu appears, click on install. The system test results menu reappears; at this point click on continue.
9. The program prompts you to install in C:\SIERRA\DRBRAIN3; click yes to accept the destination.
10. A box will appear that says installation complete; click OK
11. When the main menu appears, click on exit
12. The Aptiva Installer comes back. Click exit here to exit and return to your desktop. The installation is now complete.
Note: During setup, you must run hardware test or it will report the computer does not meet requirements. In the Sierra program group, along with the executable icon, there is a Dr. Brain 3 online help icon that brings up online help and instructions on how to play.
To uninstall Dr Brain from your hard disk:
1. From your Windows95, double click on the Aptiva Installer icon
2. Click on the show installed programs tab
3. Highlight the Dr. Brain icon by clicking on it once and then click on uninstall
4. From the Sierra uninstall menu, make sure the Lost Mind of Dr. Brain is highlighted, then click OK
5. At the next dialog box click yes to confirm deletion.
6. When it is finished, a message will appear saying that the uninstall is complete; at this point click OK
7. A final verification message appears. Click OK again
