Aptiva - Update Connector local access numbers not providing connection

Situation:
Users are unable to connect to Update Connector through available local access number.
Solution:
Periodically, IBM Global Services (IGS) updates the local access numbers in various areas of the country. These updates are made available to users automatically through Update Connector. In the event that the user's selected local access number changes prior to connection to Update Connector, they will not be able to successfully connect. To establish connection and receive the necessary updates, users can follow the steps in the procedure below:
Dialing in through IBM 800 number:
1. Run Update Connector untill you get to the dialer.
2. Open access number pull down by clicking on the triangle to the right of the access number.
3. Go to the bottom and click on "Local number is not in list". This will give you an 800 number to use.
4. Dial the number and proceed as normal.
5. If you use custom download, make sure you choose the updated phone list.
