Preventing Install Assistant from Starting after a New Install

Environment

Problem

After a new installation, the user does not want Install Assistant to start.

Solution

The user will have to do the customize install.

Create a diskette as follows:

	# cp /var/adm/ras/bosinst.data /bosinst.data

Create a file name signature containing just one line with word data.

Now modify bosinst.data to change the following line:

	RUN_STARTUP = yes

	RUN_STARTUP = no

To put it on the diskette, run the following command:

	# ls ./bosinst.data ./signature |backup -iqv

Now perform the installation with the diskette and the CD in the drives.
