Net.Commerce for AIX
Why is there a trigger to set the ship-to status (STSTAT) value to that
of the order (ORSTAT)? Why even have a ship-to status if it's always
that of the parent? What are the implications if I drop this trigger?
A:
The triggers are set to enforce certain business rules and to
maintain integrity of the database. You should not remove any of
the triggers or you could compromise the integrity of the database.
You may create your own triggers using the appropriate SQL statements,
but you should not remove any of the existing triggers.
Information on the triggers can be found in the "Net.Commerce
Commands, Tasks, Overridable Functions and Database Tables"
document. Search for 'Triggers for Database Tables'.
