Stopping the hcondmn Subsystem
Prerequisites
- HCON must be installed on your system. 
 
- You must have root user authority to stop HCON.
 
Procedure
Attention: Be sure all HCON activity has ceased before stopping the hcondmn subsystem. To stop the hcondmn subsystem, you must:
- Log on as the root user.
 
- Ensure no HCON processes are active. Use the ps command to display a list of processes. If any of the following processes are active, they must be stopped before you stop HCON:
- xhcon
 
- e789
 
- e789pr
 
- e789x
 
- xhconx
 
- e789lus
 
- fxfer
 
- dfxfer
 
- Any HCON HLLAPI program.
 
To stop these processes, choose one of the following:
- Wait for the processes to terminate normally.
 
- Have the users who started the display processes stop them using the Ctrl-D, Ctrl-D key sequence.
 
- Have the users who started the printer processes stop them using control menu options.
 
- Stop the processes using the e789cln command.
 
 
- To end the hcondmn subsystem, use smit hcon. The Control menu provides the Stop hcondmn Subsystem option.
