Response:
Action: After doing a little investigating, I was able to
reproduce this on 2 of my systems. On one where dsmit worked
   properly, I tried the command:
dsmit -w burn.austin.ibm.com and it failed (because the
fully qualified pathname was not defined)
However, his computer's hostname was simply "opus".
Next, I found a machine where dsmit all by itself failed, just
like Steve's. I looked at my /usr/share/DSMIT/hosts file, and
   it had one line:
   :AIX_3.2:0
On a working system, this file had:
   burn:AIX_3.2:0
Apparently, on our test machine (as with Steve), the hostname had
been set AFTER dsmit was installed, and so the hostname was a NULL
in the hosts file. He added in "opus" at the beginning, and all
   is well.
