installation failed on an AIX 4.1.2. system

 The customer had been trying to install NetView from the SystemView CD
 on an AIX 4.1.2. system, but the install consistently failed.

Information:

 The reason why the installation failed is because of a limitation in
 NetView that has to do with the "case" of TCP/IP hostnames.  In
 TCP/IP, hostnames are not case-sensitive, which means that

   host MACHINE.IBM.COM
     -and-
   host machine.ibm.com

 will return the same thing.
