NetView - Retry count for snmp requests

Question:

When netmon uses ping to check nodes for status, is there a 
retry count that is used?  I understand that netmon uses a 
retry count and timeout for SNMP requests of nodes.  Is 
there something similar when it uses ping to check for node 
status? 

Answer:

The SNMP retry/timeout values that are set through the
Options..SNMP Configuration menu apply to pings as well as
SNMP querries.
