Kernel type "up" is invalid or support for this kernel is not installe

Question:

Env:
  AIX 4.1.5
  RISC 7043 43p-240  (rspc mp)
  sysback 3.3.3.16

Problem:
  Customer created a ethernet network boot image for a rspc/mp
  kernel
  The customer then tied a client to that boot image.  The
  cutomer was trying to remove that client and got this
  error message:

  smitty sysback
    Configuration Options
      Network Boot Configuration
         Remove a Network Boot Client

Kernel type "up" is invalid or support for this kernel
is not installed!

/usr/sbin/mksbnetboot -u -h hades
returns the same error message

Fixed with sysback 3.3.3.16 (the newer released one)
Dated in April.
