IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
----------------------

Enclosed is a Demonstration Version of "The Circuit Board Thermometer".

To Install, you must have Microsoft Windows 3.0 installed on your computer.
2 MB of free disk space is required on your hard disk. To Find out how much
free memory you have, use File Manager, which is located in Program Manager.
The amount of free disk space decreases when Windows is loaded, so you can't
accurately check from DOS.

Because this is a Demo, the amount of components allowed on a board is 5.
Everything else is the same as the full version.

To install the program, you must be in Windows.
Go into Program Manager and select File->Run from the menu.
Type <Current Drive>:\Setup e.g. a:\Setup and press OK

ADDITIONAL COMMENTS:
--------------------

The installation may take a couple of minutes to get started; this is because
the installation program is copied to your hard disk before it is executed.
It performs better this way, trust us.

This program (like Windows) is tailored to operate on higher performance
PC's (e.g. 386 or 486). The complexity of the anlaysis is limited to how much
memory can be successfully allocated. If your machine doesn't have a lot
of RAM you may not be able to run an analysis for a lot of layers and/or
a lot of nodes. Usually what happens if you try an overwhelming analysis is
memory starts spooling to your hard drive and then a messagebox will inform
you that there isn't enough memory and you should reduce the number of nodes.

The formula below will tell you approx. how much free memory is needed:

( (# of layers) * (# of X Cells+2) * (# of Y Cells +2) * 4 * 10) + 300,000 Bytes

Similarly, if your PC is slow (not many MIPS), some analyses may seem to take
a long time (but, then again, if your PC is slow you're probably used to this).
If you have a reasonable PC, e.g. a 20 MHz 386, the solution converges fairly
quickly.

version or if you just have some comments. Call, write or FAX:
