The Unsanctioned, Highly Opinionated, Comdex Survival Guide (TUHOCSG) is
a shareware hypertext "book" based on the soft cover book of the same name.

It provides "survival" techniques, hints and tips on how to get the most
out of Comdex, what to expect, and where to have some fun (and just as
importantly, which places to avoid!)

The features provided by TUHOCSG include:

    - Conference schedules and topics
    - Means of transportation
    - Where to eat well, but inexpensively
    - Best night time play grounds
    - Opportunities for "free" passes to exhibits
    - An Adult Entertainment Information section
    - Hotel names and numbers
    - Various formats available (including OS/2, Windows 3.1 book, DOS book)
    - What to pack

REQUIREMENTS

The following is required to use TUHOCSG for Windows:
    - PC running Microsoft Windows 3.1
    - VGA display.


HOW TO INSTALL OR RUN

Copy all the files into a directory of your choice, (for example \COMDEX).

If you only want to run the Comdex Survival Guide without installing it
into a Program Group, start Windows and run the File Manager. Then highlight
the directory where the TUHOCSG files are installed. Double click on the
comdex.hlp file.

To install TUHOCSG into a Program Group start Windows and run the File Manager.
(Make sure that the Program Manager window is open when you run File Manager.)
In File Manager, highlight the directory which contains the TUHOCSG files.
Click ONCE and hold down the button on the comdex.hlp file. While still
holding the button down, move the mouse to a folder on the open Program
Manager window. Release the button. A question mark icon should appear
with the word  "Comdex" (without the quotes) under it.

Congrats...you've just installed The Unsanctioned, Highly Opinionated,
Comdex Survival Guide into your Windows Program Manager environment!

REGISTRATION

The Unsanctioned, Highly Opinionated, Comdex Survival Guide for Windows
is not a free program; it is copyrighted and distributed as Shareware.
You may try the program for up to fifteen days for free, but if you
decide to keep it, you must register the program.
A registration reminder notice is displayed every time you run the
unregistered version of the program.

The unregistered version of TUHOCSG for Windows is not
"crippleware."  It is full featured and functionally identical to the
registered version.  The registered version has more information, details,
and ratings of various establishments.


HOW TO REGISTER

A copy of the registration form is in the file REGFORM.TXT.  It may
be printed from DOS or by using the "File | Print" function in Windows
Notepad or Windows Write.

To register, complete the registration form and mail it with a check or
money order for $15.95 (U.S. funds only) to:

If you cannot print the registration form, simply send a note with
your name, mailing address, preferred diskette size, 3.5" (720 K)
or 5.25" (1.2M), and system preference (OS/2, Windows 3.1 help file,
Windows 3.1 Electronic Book, or DOS Electronic Book) with your $15.95.

You will receive a registered copy of the latest version of the program
with the reminder notice turned off.  Delivery is by U.S. mail.  You
will also be notified of and receive free updates of the program until
the end of Comdex Fall 1995.


LICENSE

The Unsanctioned, Highly Opinionated, Comdex Survival Guide for Windows
(also referred to herein as TUHOCSG) is a copyrighted program.  You may not
change nor modify the files nor any of the documentation
files in any way.   You may not disassemble nor reverse-engineer
the program.  You may freely distribute this program as long as all
files are included and no money is charged.  A small copying fee not
exceeding $5 US may be charged.

This program is for entertainment use only.
