Blank-It Screen Saver
=====================

This simple screen saver is useful if you are running low on memory.
It occupies 192 bytes of conventional memory and works under Windows 95
as well as DOS. In fact, this program is so small that if you look for
it you won't be able to find it!

Blank-It will blank both the standard VGA and the MDA adaptors if they
either or both are present. This is really handy if you have both monitors
(using the monochrome one for debugging or whatever).

Usage
=====

To invoke Blank-It, type:

        blank-it 4000

You should see a message like:

        Blank-It v1.11, The Invisible Screen Saver!
        Copyright 1995-1996 Don Neufeld.

The number following the word blank-it is the number of clock ticks to wait
before blanking the screen. Since there are about 18 clock ticks per second
under normal circumstances a number such as 1800 will cause the program to
blank the screen after 100 seconds. The default for this parameter is 5600.

Error Messages
==============

The only two error messages this program can produce are:

        Error allocating memory. Blank-It not installed.
        Blank-It requires DOS v5.0 or higher to run.

The second one is obvious, and if the first one happens then there is
probably a problem with the version of Blank-It you have downloaded and
you should contact me. The out of memory message should never occure.
