* The Sysex Manager program and its associated documentation files are
    copyright (C) 1995 Samuel Marshall

*   System Requirements

    Windows 3.1 or later
    CTL3D.DLL file (is freely distributable but I left it out to keep
     the size down; look for it on other people's Windows or Windows\system
     directories if you don't have it, it comes with all modern Microsoft
     applications)
    MIDI input and output drivers for your soundcard or MIDI interface

*   Help File Graphics

   Yes, they are supposed to look like that. They're *supposed* to look
   like that (with green coloured bits, etc) on 24 bit as well, but I
   didn't have time to convert them to 16 colours (the programs I tried
   wouldn't do it the same as WinHelp, so I would have had to mess with
   Photoshop).

*   Bugs

   Hmm? There aren't any! :-) Seriously, there are a few *possible* bugs,
   mainly due to me completing this upgraded version in two days.

    Closing MIDI ports when minimised may not work as expected

     I couldn't find another program to reliably use the MIDI ports and
     report errors, in the time available.

    The minimised icon does not display properly. Also, the icon is
     absent from the Alt-Tab display.

     This is due to the way the program is written as a dialog box. The
     changes to get it to work are fairly minor but I ran out of time.

    Do not try to run two copies of Sysex Manager unless really necessary.
     If it *is* necessary, ensure they never try to access the same port.

*   Why it was rushed

   Well, my programs are usually rushed for something or other! This time,
   it was to try and get it done for the Best of British Shareware CD.

* What the upgrade adds over version 0.9

   More than was initially planned! :)

    Support for the manual creation of SysEx messages
    A comprehensive and nice-looking help file
    MIDI port driver releasing when minimised
    Proper registration facilities
    Now doesn't crash when you try to change the input port

*   That's all, folks...

   You can now go ahead and use the program. Hope you like it; hope you
   register. And please feel free to contact me if there are features you
   would like to see added, or if you have spotted any bugs, or if the
   help file is unclear.
