Grinwich Version 2.2 for Windows
1. The main purpose of Grinwich is to show how
to compute distances on the earth's surface
given the latitudes and longitudes of two points.
As part of this education package, we supply
the distance computation equations. A database
provides the latitudes and longitudes of more
 than 2600 cities worldwide. A user defined
database allows you to add your own site names
and their latitudes and longitudes. You can search
the databases for specific locations and calculate
the distance between selected locales.
Grinwich was written by Dr. J.H.P. Claude Bouchard.
 Platform:  PC with  Windows 95.
Grinwich Version 2.2 Main Features:
 Distance calculation from latitude and longitude;
 Error estimate computation for distance;
 Compass direction angle calculation;
 On-line help with distance equations as part of help file;
 Ellipticity correction;
 Database for more than 2600 world cities;
 User defined location database;
 Editing capability for user database;
 Latitude and longitude format conversion;
 Search capability for both databases.

2. To install Grinwich create a temporary directory (for
example C:\TEMP) and move the grinw220.zip file to this
location. In C:\TEMP type PKUNZIP GRINW220. Then type
