TaskBar Reminder. Initial beta release 11th April 1996.

TBREM10d.ZIP - Release date 6th October 1996.

Program: TaskBar Rmeinder version 1.0d.

Version 1.0d Minor fixes, including the bug that caused an error if accidentally trying to open two instances of the address book. Also there is a duplicate reminder button added to make easy copying of similar reminders (copies all data except date and datetext). Also there is now a menu available when clicking the taskbar icon and bening shown a single reminder (as there is for the reminder list when several items have been shown). Click the Right mouse button over the single reminder and choose 'Dont show this reminder again'. Single clicks will then pop-up the calendar or the address book depending on setup. NOTE This menu item is not available when the reminder is first shown.

Version 1.0a fixes the bug that caused the program to crash when closing the About Box (sorry about that one). Also the calendar and data entry screens have been reduced so that 640 x 480 resolution users dont have part of these screens clipped.
Version 1.0 now shows a list of queued alarms, if any exist, before trying to close the program.
Also when first run, the program will try to determine your short date format of the computer you are using automatically so there is no need to change setup manually.
Version 0.98a fixes the 'cannot open file' error when the program was not installed in c:\reminder.
Version 0.98 made purely cosmetic changes.
Version 0.97 added an address book to the menu.

Before Using this program please read the disclaimer at the end of the text file.
In order to keep the file size down to a minimum I have removed the installation program.
To install, simply copy the un-zipped files into a new directory and run Reminder.exe. If you require a disk with the full version plus install routine, then e-mail me for details.

To get the program to start every time Windows 95 starts, you will need to create a short-cut to Reminder.exe in the start-up folder. To do this:

1. Open Setting -> Taskbar on the start menu.
2. Click on the Start Menu Programs Tab.
3. Click on the add button.
4. Click the browse button and locate the file Reminder.exe.
5. Click on the next button.
6. Scroll down the tree structure until you find the StartUp Folder.
   Double click on it.
7. Click Finish.
