NEW TO VERSION 1.50 Registered and 1.50B Demo (March 3, 1996)

1. Renamed Software from PAD Caller ID & Database to The Informer aka The
   Rat.

2. Added Standard Telephone Modem support. Modem MUST feature a Caller ID
option to work. Check with the manual that came with your modem before
using this software. This Software will NOT WORK unless your modem
supports a Caller ID Option, or you have a CNIS Modem installed.

3. Added Sound and Voice. 24 User defined Voice Message. These files are
generated by using a sound card and software that can play 8 bit
.WAV files, at a 22 KHz sampling rate. Tested using Sound
Blaster 16. Should work with many of the other brands of sound
cards that are compatible to the SB16.

4. Forwards incoming Telephone Numbers to your Beeper/Pager. Forwards all
incoming numbers to up to two defined Beeper/Pager Numbers.

5. Telephone Dialing feature, allows dialing of the currently displayed
   Record's Telephone Number.

WINDOW '95:
TO INSTALL THIS PROGRAM WITHIN WINDOWS '95, YOU NEED TO DELETE ONE LINE
FROM THE FILE "SETUP.LST". LOCATE THIS FILE ON DISK 1.
   REMOVE LINE CONTAINING --> VER.DL_
DO THIS AFTER UNZIPPING CALLER1x.ZIP, AND BEFORE RUNNING THE SETUP FROM
   WINDOWS '95.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Creating a Setup Disk on floppy:
	CALLER15.ZIP - Demo Version
	CALLER16.ZIP - Registered Version
Requires two blank 3.5", 1.44 Mbytes diskettes
Create a subdirectory called C:\TEMP on your Hard Drive.
UNZIP CALLER1x.ZIP to C;\TEMP. This will unzip two files called
	DSK1_V1x.ZIP and DSK2_V1x.ZIP. DSK1_V1x.ZIP contains the SETUP
programs needed to install software to Windows.

Place a BLANK Formatted diskette in drive A: and UNZIP DSK1_V1x.ZIP
to it. Once complete, UNZIP DSK2_V1x.ZIP to the second diskette.

Before Installing, have your Modem Manual on hand. You will need to
Setup the Modem Init String after program is started up.
	It requires
COMMAND ECHO = DISABLED AT Command E(n)
RESULTS CODES = DISABLED AT Command Q(n)
CALL ID = ENABLED and using unformatted HEX or ASCII
				Transfer. AT Command #CID=(n)

Also Back Up INFCALL.MDB, INFCALL.LDB and all INFORM[ 0 to 24 ].WAV if you
are Re-Installing this Software. During the Re-Install, these data files will be
over written.

Running Setup:

1. Insert Setup Disk 1 into A: or B: drive.
2. From Windows 3.1 Program Manager click on "File" from
	the Menu then select "RUN".
From Window's 95 click START and select RUN from the Menu.
3. Type A:SETUP or B:SETUP and Click "OK"
5. When the Setup is completed, view the Help for all documents.

Start the program, and you'll be transfer directly to the Configuration
Form.

6. First time installation, Sound is Disabled, you'll have to Enable it,
if you have a Sound Card running within Windows.
7. You'll need to setup the AT Command String for the Standard
Telephone Modem. A CNIS Modem don't require this set up.
8. Once complete, make sure you SELECT FROM THE MENU BAR 'FINISHED'
and 'Save all Changes' before Exiting the Forms. Both the LOGGING
and AREACODE subdirectories need to be created before running the
	software.
9. If you set the program to use Sound and Voice, but you don't have
a Sound Card Installed, the program will NOT function any longer.
You'll need to edit the INFCALL.INI file and change the line just
below the Label [SOUND_CARD_INSTALLED] to 'NO'. A Re-Install will
	also correct this problem.

Advice:
Always backup INFCALL.MDB and INFCALL.LDB Database files to protect against
data loss.

Note:
Most Program Objects are HELP sensitive. Select the Object with the Mouse
by clicking on it, then press F1, Help for that object will be displayed.
