Create a directory called sticky. eg c:\sticky

 Pkunzip -d sticky07.zip c:\sticky

This will extract sticky.exe, sticky.HLP, readme.txt into the sticky
directory. It will also extract sticky.ini to \windows and the other
files to \windows\system. If you have a current installation of sticky,
allow it to overwrite everything except the sticky.ini file, and the
dll, and vbx files. (Check the dll & vbx files by file date and size to
see if they are newer than the ones in the archive. If not, then you
 can overwrite them)

If you are upgrading your sticky, you might like to add some of the
addresses from the sticky.ini in the archive to your existing
 sticky.ini file.

In windows, select File|New and type in the path and filename eg:
 c:\sticky\sticky.exe.

If you have Winsock installed correctly on your system, then Sticky
will run. Run it and select the Configure menu option. Change the
option that says "My Friendly Name" to be YOUR name... send me a sticky
note to test the program. PLEASE include in the sticky note

 Your Name
Whether or not you want to be included in my list of sticky hosts
(By default I will include you)
What times (wrt GMT) your sticky will be up. I am on GMT +2 hours...
What your email address is, in case I can't reach your sticky host

The next thing to do, is to send mail to : LISTSERV@OLIVER.SUN.AC.ZA
with the words : SUBSCRIBE STICKY-TALK FIRSTNAME LASTNAME in the body of
the message. This will subscribe you to the sticky-talk mailing list.
Please don't panic about this, there is very little traffic on the list,
it is mostly just the place where I announce new versions of the
software and answer questions about problems with the software and
discuss suggestions for the new versions of it.

John Babina (in Texas) is working on the Unix Version of Sticky. We have
the client side working, (as of Dec 1994) so you can send Sticky Notes
from Unix, and John has said that when he has time he will work on the
receiving side. If you want a copy of the (very much Beta) version of
Sticky, send me some email, and I will tell you where you can get hold
of it ...

New versions and updates of sticky appear in this order :

1) They are announced on Sticky-Talk
2) They are available in the Sticky Directory on my machine.. Ftp to
   dovey.jsgbib.sun.ac.za
3) They are on ftp.sun.ac.za in the /pub/misc/win3 directory
4) They are on ftp.cica.indiana.edu
5) They are on ftp.sun Mirror sites
6) They are on CICA Mirror Sites

Let me know what you think (via sticky-talk) as well as any ideas that
you might have for sticky, criticisms, bugs etc....

Have fun
