Last updated: 8 May 2000

Thank you for choosing to install HumanClick!

About HumanClick:
=================
HumanClick lets you detect when anyone at all is on your web site!

When any visitor is on your web site you can contact him or let
him contact you directly via a chat. (Visitor needs no download).
You can monitor which pages he visits in your web site.

HumanClick uses the HumanClick server - so all you have to do is
register, embed icons and start enjoying a window into your web
site! Easy setup process... works with any hosting provider!

Help files:
===========
For your convenience, we have created a Help file to this version
with full instructions on how to use HumanClick. You can access
the help file from inside the Web Operator Window (WOW) or
directly from the directory where the HumanClick files have been
installed (default is : C:\Program Files\HumanClick).
* In addition, you can find ample help via our FAQs (Frequently
Asked Questions) which can be found on our web site at:
http://www.humanclick.com/support/faq.htm
* Or look for more help via our support page at:
http://www.humanclick.com/support/index.htm
* We also have live technical support via our live chat 24
hours a day, 7 days a week, on our web site.

Start Communicating with your Web site Visitors!
================================================
Once you have completed the registration and embedding process,
the bell in the taskbar of your window should turn to yellow.
This implies that you are ready to accept visitors. Whenever you
are online, you will be able to monitor your web site.

You are now ready to spot visitors to your web site, and chat with
them. Visitors to your site do not need to install or download
anything at all. They can choose to chat with you by pressing the
"HumanClick - Click to Chat" icon, or you can proactively contact
them when you see someone on your site (the yellow doorbell icon rings and
flashes) by choosing the "Want to Chat?" option from the visitor
menu.

Choose File - Site Customization.
Languages now available are: Dutch, Danish, English, French,
German, Hebrew, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish

* Language Specification - Select the main language of your web
site. This will affect the chat window with web site visitors -
on the visitor side.
All messages will be in the language given, and the chat window
itself - "Send, Close, etc" will be in this language.
* Images and Icons
- Language - Choose the language that you want the icons on
your site to be in.
- Main Category - Choose a main category (General, Fun, Female,
Corporate)
- Sub Category - Choose the subcategory of the specific icon
you want on your site.
* View Images and Icons button - click on this button to view the

2. Advanced FTP information option.

This option was added in order to enable automatic embedding to
sites which previously encountered problems due to their unusual
FTP information. (For example, sites whose main page was not
directly under the FTP host directory).

Only those who are familiar with the FTP information of their
sites should use this option. For sites hosted on Tripod,
Geocities, Xoom, AOL, there is no need to change this information.

If you need to modify this information, then check "Modify
FTP information" and enter the correct information into these
fields. Press "Next" to continue.

When do you need to change the FTP Information?
* If the FTP Host Address is incorrect. For example, if your
web site address is www.mysite.com/thebestsite/index.html then
the ftp address will often be ftp.mysite.com. However, in some
cases, the ftp site will also be called www.mysite.com.
* If the FTP Home Page Path is not correct. If your web site's
home page is in the root directory, then this field can remain
empty or you may put a "/" in this field.
However, if your home page is in a sub-directory -
then you can either enter the sub-directory where your home page
is located, or if you are not sure where it is located, you
can click on the "browse" button to view the FTP information
of your web site.
* Choose your web site's home page file by clicking on it and
then press OK to confirm.

3. A new menu bar item - "HumanClick"
* Home Page - This is a link to the HumanClick web site.
* Tell a Friend - This is a link to the HumanClick Tell a Friend
option. Use this to tell your friends and acquaintances that you
have just HumanClicked your site.
* Frequently Asked Questions - This section of the HumanClick web
site is updated very frequently. Often user questions can easily
be found on this web page.
* HumanClick's Support - This web page provides links to the FAQ
page, the Support Request Form, Password retrieval, the new Icon
Gallery and more.

4. Automatic Password retrieval (available through HumanClick
web site). If you have forgotten your password, it will be sent
to you via e-mail if you fill out the form on our web site at:
http://www.humanclick.com/support/password.htm
