Ham Helper -

This program is handy tool for Ham Radio operators.

Installation:
Just run the file hhlprXX.exe (where XX is a version number.)
This is a self-installing file.

If you are upgrading:
Do the same as above. Ham Helper keeps track of all
info in the Windows registry, so if you want to keep
the old version of Ham Helper, install it to a different
directory.

Quick Start:

***** UTC Time display:
On the main window, UTC time is displayed next
to your local time. If you have Ham Helper
minimized, the UTC time is displayed on the
program's task bar entry. You have to option
to always have the UTC time on the task bar.

***** Country Database:
Enter a callsign or prefix and get info on what
country that call is from. There is also info on
that country's UTC offset, lat. and long., CQ and
        ITU zones, etc.

***** W1AW Schedule:
Find out what time W1AW, the American Radio
        Relay League (ARRL)'s headquarter station,
is going to be transmitting bulletins or code
        practice.

***** Band Plans:
Make sure you're in the right frequency!!!
Find out what modes and on what frequency
you are allowed to operate on.

Note: The FCC has restructured ham licensing.
As soon as I find out of any changes in
band plans, I will update Ham Helper
accordingly. Check my web site for updates.

***** Q-Signals:
Here you can lookup what Q-Signals mean. These
are used for abbreviating on Morse code.

***** Scrap Book:
This was meant to take the place of paper for your
notes. You can easily type in what you're hearing
on the radio. Also, you can access the country
database from the Scrap Book by right-clicking. If
you have a word high-lighted then it will lookup
that word, otherwise it will lookup whatever word
        the cursor is in.

***** WWV Alert:
At 15 minutes after the hour, you can have Ham
Helper give you a warning to tune to WWV and get
the latest solar conditions report. You can use
these reports to see "How the bands are doing."
