Thank you for trying DiskVac.

DiskVac is a freeware program which conveniently and thoroughly clears the free-space on your computer's logical drives. DiskVac is designed to run either from the Windows screen or through the use of command-line instructions. Complete instructions for using DiskVac, for encorporating DiskVac in a Task Scheduler profile, and for creation of a security plan for your computer are included in DiskVac's Help file.

This installation will allow you unhindered use of DiskVac for 45 days. The original installation package, which is available at Simtel or one of its mirror sites, is freely distributable. A $10 license (with password) will allow you to continue the use of this product.

Installation

You should be able to install DiskVac simply by double-clicking setup.exe, located in this directory.

If you are having problems installing or running DiskVac your computer may be missing one or more of the Windows run-time libraries.

These libraries, usually with the extension .DLL, are routinely added during the installation of applications such as Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Office. DiskVac was written using the most current (circa 1999) run-time libraries.

These libraries are available online and can be installed in a SETUP program similar to that for any other application. This one-time update will bring up to date many of the libraries that many applications use.

The runtime-library to download and install is named SiVb6-5.zip and is available from Simtel at

	ftp://ftp.simtel.net/pub/simtelnet/win95/dll/
