DeBoard uses text objects. Text Objects refer to any of the scrolling, crawl or graphic display regions on your screen.

Hardware Requirements:
Most High-Speed computers will have no problem with DeBoard. However, there are certain Win95 486 machines that do very poorly, particularly older laptops. If you are experiencing slow text or graphic movement consider upgrading to Win NT4.0. If the scroll and crawl action is just too slow to be usable, consider a 786 CPU or better. Certain machines will work much faster with 256 color 640x480 displays instead of 16 million colors @ 800 by 600 resolution.

Navigating the Edit or main Screen:
While most options are available from the standard pull down menu, using the speed bar buttons will increase your navigational ease.

Font and colors:
Using the Font Color option, you can change any text object's font or background color to any color your W95/NT5.0 system contains. Care should be taken when selecting colors for video, because not all colors are NTSC/PAL compatible.
The fonts and colors you use will depend on your system. Not all fonts are True Type specific and some non True-Type fonts may appear odd. To change a font, right click your mouse when positioned over a text object box or any of the title blocks on the edit screen.

Input Text Files:
The text objects use regular dos text files for input. In W95/95 the max size is 32k; in Nt5.0 it's about two gigs. The user must enter spacing and tab spaces.
The margin sliders will also adjust the text. The default is left justified.

Scroll Box (text object) Height:
To change the height or width of a scroll/crawl box/image box, click the Align button, then click drag and drag the edge of the text/graphic. To move the object to a new display position, click and drag the center of an object.

Multiple Monitors:
To place and object on a different monitor, go to the Monitors page and Click the radio button of the monitor you want object to appear on. When you click the Align button to go to the align screen you can position and size the object there.
Adjusting the scroll and crawl speeds:
You change the scroll delay and crawl line speed from the Configuration page. The delay is in msec's, with a max of 100 for each text object. If you have multiple monitors you can adjust these speed delays while playing DeBoard.

Image Lists
To add and image to an image list right click on the list to you wish to add an image to. You can also delete or clear and image list using the right click image popup. Click the (red arrow) Import button on this page to import a directory of images. There are three image lists and they are saved when you save your project. You can also use the directory inport button to import a directory of bitmaps and jpeg image files. Care hould be taken to NOT USE large jpeg files, as they are uncompressed and converted to bitmaps while DeBoard is running.

Screens:
The Edit screen contains the main menu, speed buttons and text edit boxes. Many other options include font and background color, font styles, and open file dialogs. The text attributes are available from the Text Object popup. To activate the Text Object popup, right click the mouse when positioned over the text object box and click an option.
The Play Screen contains the moving text and graphic objects. To close the play Screen press [Esc] or left mouse click on a bare part of any monitor (clicking on an object will not close the screen).
The Configuration page contains background colors, frames sizes etc.
The sizing and timing adjustment sliders are crucial to Deboard giving satisfactory results. All text object sizing is from top to bottom (using the [Size] auto button), that is, all objects realign from the top down. Be sure to save your project after tweeking.

The Delay slider bars in the Configuration page options control the amount of time in msec's that a text object's thread will sleep before playing the next pixel scan line. The MINIMUM actual amount of time THAT CAN BE USED IS ABOUT 16 MSES, EVEN THOUGH YOU HAVE SET THE SLIDER TO 1.
Use the Font Type/Size option to set a title's font to any font your system may contain. You can also change the font size from 16 - 200 points.
Note: Playing Image or sound files may cause unsteady scrolling. Check our website for fixes.

Note: This program is the full version and it's
performance will not change after purchasing and
registering the software.
