1. What is AloeCam?
---------------------------------------------------------
AloeCam is an application that can display and save the
images from multiple webcams. It features resizable,
individual windows for each webcam with a gamma correction
and a camera monitoring function that will open a window
when a camera is turned on. AloeCam can also save each
picture to your hard disk

Webcams are cameras that are connected to the internet.
A live image is posted to a website at a set interval,
say every 60 seconds, as a jpeg file. Webcam sites have
web pages that display the image as part of a web page
and most are free.

A long list of webcams is included with AloeCam, and you
can add more. See the help file for web sites that list
webcams.

2. Adult Content Warning
---------------------------------------------------------
Although not all webcams involve adult content, the list
of webcams that is supplied with AloeCam include some that
do. These will most likely be in the categories "Indoor",
but since the author of AloeCam has no control of the
webcams he cannot guarantee the content of ANY of pictures
that AloeCam will display.

If you want to avoid adult content you should check each
webcam's web page for content warnings using your browser
BEFORE viewing the webcam with AloeCam.

2. System Requirements
---------------------------------------------------------
Windows 95/98
Internet access

3. Installing/Upgrading AloeCam
---------------------------------------------------------
To install AloeCam:
  a. unzip all files into a temporary folder.
  b. run (open) the program "setup.exe"
  c. delete the temporary folder and files.

If an older version of AloeCam is already installed.
  a. Install this new version in it's own, new folder
     (\Program Files\AloeCam22) using the instructions
     above.
  b. Run this new AloeCam and choose menu command
"File|Import..." to import any cameras you have
added, from the old version to the new.
  c. Uninstall the old version using "Add/Remove Programs"
in the Windows Control Panel. The old version will be
     listed as "AloeCam".

4. Uninstalling
---------------------------------------------------------
To uninstall AloeCam:
  a. Run "Add/Remove Programs" found in the Control Panel.
  b. select "AloeCam 2.2" from the list and press the
       "Add/Remove" button.
OR

  a. Run the program "UnInstall.exe" located in the same
     folder as AloeCam.exe

Both methods do exactly the same thing.

5. Changes in Version 2.2
---------------------------------------------------------
AloeCam 2.2 adds some features, fixes a few bugs and
updates the supplied camera lists. It is a free update
for all registered users, your version 2.0 user name
and registration code will work with version 2.2

New Features
  a. The main window and all camera windows can be
shrunk to a system tray icon. An optional password
can be required to restore the windows. This can be
used to get AloeCam out of the way while working on
other programs or to prevent others from seeing the
     camera pictures on your screen.

  b. An import function was added to copy the camera
lists from another copy of AloeCam. This is used
when upgrading an old installation or when
     reinstalling AloeCam.

Bug Fixes
  a. Cameras should not get stuck on "getting DNS..."

  b. "Invalid page fault" and other errors when closing
camera windows or quiting the program should be
     fixed.

  c. The rare "xx-xx-00 is an invalid time" bug should be
fixed. We were not able to reproduce this bug but
     fixed it anyway. :)

  d. Proxies are always forced to refresh.

  e. Opening URLs in browser windows should work with all
     browsers.
