
 WordZap - Windows 32-bit Version 4.40

 Thanks for trying WordZap -- the Action Word Game!

 4.40 requires Win95, Win98 or NT-4 with Service Pack 
 III applied.  Use the 16-bit version for Win3.x.

 Players registered before 7/1/98 will need a new
 password.  Players on ICQ, MPlayer, IGames and
 WebQwest can play without being registered.  WordZap
 always plays "as if registered" on Sundays.
 Unregistered players get 20 free demo sessions.

 Installation:

 (1) Close any other programs you are running.  If you
     have ICQ, make sure it is shut off.
 (2) Read the rest of the readme file below.  
 (3) Close this window to continue.

 Important: WordZap requires Microsoft Direct Play to 
 run.  Direct Play comes with Windows 98 and is
 installed by Mplayer and many Internet products.  If
 you do not have Direct Play, go to our download
 page at http://wordzap.com/download.html and
 download and install Direct Play and try again.

    Houghton Mifflin American Heritage Dictionary and
    OneLook which is great for really obscure words.
    Collins is good for folks learning English and has
    pronunciation for many words.

 Important:  If you are expert player and play ladder
 matches, make sure your handicap is set below 20 
 or manually set your ladder Rating to 'Expert' in 
 your Preferences dialog.

 Note:  This version runs with versions of ICQ prior
 to 99a and with versions of 99a release >= 1700 but
 not with versions < 1700.
