Mail Log
--------

Mail Log is a utility that lets you view a summary of incoming mail messages
if your mail program is "PC-NFS LIFELINE 2.0". As soon as a mail message is
received in your new mail file on your mail server, Mail Log will beep and
display the date and time the message was received, who sent the message,
and the subject of the message. When you go into LIFELINE, your mail is
transfered from the mail server to your PC. This will clear out and reset
your Mail Log window.

The intention of this utility is to keep a small window open at all times
that you are in Windows. When you get a mail message, you can immediately
see who it is from and the subject. This will allow you to judge whether
or not you want to interrupt your work at that time to read the full message.

Installation
------------

The installation of Mail Log is very easy.

1. Create a directory on your hard drive;

	mkdir \maillog

2. Change to the newly created directory;

	cd \maillog

3. Unpack the .ZIP archive using PKUNZIP into the current directory;

	pkunzip <path>\maillg10.zip

	where <path> is the drive and directory where maillog.zip is
		     located, such as c:\download

4. Run the Windows Program Manager. Using the File/New option, create
   a new program item called Mail Log.  Fill in the dialog box as follows;

	Description:            Mail Log
	Command Line:           <drive>:\maillog\maillog.exe
	Working Directory:      <drive>:\maillog

	Where <drive> is the drive letter containing the \maillog directory.

5. You can run Mail Log by double clicking on the Mail Log icon.

6. The first time you run Mail Log (or later when you select the FILE/SETUP
   option) you should enter the complete path to your mail server file
   (e.g., m:\maildir\mailfile).
