MSDN is a Windows 3.1 program to read the MSDN and SoftLib index files.
Microsoft has released several CD-ROMs with help file and programming examples.
Many of them are very useful to (beginning and advanced) Windows programmers.
Fortunately (some of) these files are also obtainable from Microsoft's archive
site ftp.microsoft.com. The MSDN program reads the MSDN index file and provides
a nice interface to find the files on a given topic. Another feature is the New
Files selection: when you read a newer index file, MSDN can tell you what files
have been added.

You'll need to get the MSDN and/or SoftLib index file to work with MSDN. These
are available as:

    ftp.microsoft.com:/Developer/MSDN/INDEX.zip
    ftp.microsoft.com:/SoftLib/SLList.txt

WARNING: This version of MSDN is incompatible with MSDN version 1.0. Microsoft
has changed the format of the MSDN index file and directory setup. As a
consequence, the format of the database files has been altered.
