Introducing WinPanic!
Finally, the most invaluable tool for any _serious_ computer work is available
for Windows. Not exactly a port from UNIX's xpanic, but with the same functionality,
WinPanic will pop up on your screen at selectable intervals and tell you exactly
what you need -- DON'T PANIC -- in large and friendly letters.

These are the classical words that appear on the cover of the Hitchhiker's
Guide to the Galaxy, the brainchild of author Douglas Adams.

Installation:
Copy the file WINPANIC.EXE to your hard disk. (That's it!)
NOTE: WinPanic utilizes Windows95 common controls. You'll need Windows95 build 437
or later -or- Windows NT 3.51BETA or later.
I don't think Win32s will do the trick even with v1.3. As far as I know, Win32 can't
handle multi-threading and I couldn't link with the single-threaded library.

Configuration:
When WinPanic appears on your screen, click your mouse somewhere in the window and
it will turn into a dialog box where you can select the time intervals for which
WinPanic will show up and disappear. The 'Up time' is 1-10 seconds, the 'Down-time'
is 1-10 minutes. There is also a 'Kill' button that will quit WinPanic and a 'Help'
button that will show a little message.

Please note that this is just an afternoon's work and the first release. Don't nag
about bugs or deficiencies - report them to me in an orderly way.
I haven't tested WinPanic on any other machines - that's your job.

WinPanic is freely distributable to anyone who might enjoy it as long as this
file is included.

I do not accept responsibility for anything that might happen to your system
during it's use.

Robin Humble <rjh@pixel.maths.monash.edu.au> apparently created the original
xpanic for X-Windows. I've stolen the arrays of points to draw the boo-man and
the characters DON'T PANIC straight out of his code, the rest is my own work.
WinPanic was realized using Visual C++ 2.1 and MFC 3.0.
