Announcing a WinSock 1.1 compliant Finger daemon for Windows. This
is a public domain program, and I am releasing it somewhat as Lee Murach
has done with his TXTSRV program, and Ian Blenke with WSMTPSRV. All
source code is included, all I ask is that if you use it, please drop me
an email message (vorlon@hookup.net) with some comments about the program.
If you wish, you can even send me $, since dial-up Internet SLIP access
is not cheap.

However, I do not want the headache of supporting this program, which
is why I have created a help file. But what I hope is for MS-Windows
programmers who wish to create public domain WinSock software can use
this code as a guide for creating other public domain WinSock server
programs. You can create commercial/shareware programs, but you MUST
abide by the distribution agreement in this software's copyright.

You should be able to find this program on the following anonymous FTP
sites:

FTP.MICRODYNE.COM /pub/winsock/apps/fingd100.zip
SUNSITE.UNC.EDU /pub/micro/pc-stuff/ms-windows/winsock/apps/fingd100.zip
(this is a mirror of Microdyne, give it time to catch up)
WINFTP.CICA.INDIANA.EDU /pub/pc/win3/winsock/fingd100.zip
(or /pub/pc/win3/uploads/fingd100.zip for the near future)
FTP.CDROM.COM /pub/win3/winsock/fingd100.zip
(this is a mirror of CICA, give it time to catch up)
