NEWS THE San Diego County BBS List (with
NEWS & NOTES) is distributed each Friday.
AND Look for it each week on your favorite
ܲ۲ BBS in the San Diego area. If you detect
NOTES ۲ an error or omission, please leave a note
in the county-wide NET202_BBSLIST echo or
        May 28, 1993 the General Alarm BBS 669-0385 1:202/123.

GP> I'm hoping to eventually become proficient enough at using
GP> my 486 that I can have a BBS operating in the background while
GP> continuing to use my computer from the console. Maybe I need OS/2.
GP> Just think, with enough phone lines, I could have my BBS up on one
GP> screen while dialing out to other BBSes on another screen!

I'd think (but only if forced to) that you would want to not call your
own bbs by accident. If you did, you might set up a continuous loop,
which would probably distort the time-space continuum.

Sure a shootin' they'd make another Star Trek motion picture then!

Kearny Mesa-based Overland Data announced that it paid $9 million for
the acquisition of the tape drive product line of Conner Peripherals.

Sony Electronic Publishing has announced its entry into the European
marketplace with the acquisition of Psygnosis Ltd, the British computer
   and video game sofware company.

-> JM> What about those of us who don't have three thousand dollars?
   ->
-> You can get this configuration that I mention for $1,799. Invest
-> in a Computer Shopper.....prices are going down every month now.

I could ask, "What about those who don't have $1,799 . . ." but you may
get the point. About all I can AFFORD is an issue of Computer Shopper.
I buy it. I read it. I keep from drooling on the pages. I'm OK with a
   386SX-25, a 2400-bps modem and a dot-matrix printer. I don't NEED a
high-speed fax/modem, a 486DX processor, or an inkjet or laser printer.

What I need is a 30-hour day. I keep looking for that in Computer
   Shopper. Maybe next month . . .
