



It is very important that you do not watch your hands.  You will 
keep your eyes on the keyboard monitor for the first few lessons.
On the keyboard monitor the keys will be different colors.  The 
different colors represent the finger with which the key will be 
struck.  The double line down the center of the board divides 
the left hand from the right hand.  


Did you notice that some keys were white?  These white keys are 
referred to as the home row.  You always begin from the home row 
position.  When your fingers are on the white keys, the left hand
is on A, S, D, F, and the right hand is on J, K, L, and 
Semicolon.  You have two vacant keys between your hands.
