My grandma's recipie for artichokes...
                    Artichokes
                    Onion Salt
                    Garlic Salt
                    Salt
                    Pepper
                    Kraft Parmesian Cheese (must be Kraft)
                    Oil
                    Water

     Cut the artichoke stems and cut the tips (scissors work well on the
tips) bang the chokes open on the counter, wash out with water.
     Sprinkle all the salts and the pepper onto the chokes. and then spoon
the cheese into each leaf. This is very time consuming but worth the effort.
place in a LARGE pot. Pour oil slowly onto each choke to wet down the cheese.
Add ebough water to bring the level to the top of the first set of leaves,
and cover. Steam for about an hour. Use a baster to baste them periodically.
Add water when needed, Don't let them burn! Enjoy!
