   For anyone who's had trouble making meringue, marshmallow creme may make the
task easier, and more successful..   Meringue recipes using marshmallow  creme.

                      Fool Proof Meringue (Recipe #1)

3 egg whites, chill taken off
dash salt
1 cup (half a 7-ounce jar) marshmallow creme

   Beat egg whites and salt in medium bowl of electric mixer until soft peaks
form.  Gradually add marshmallow creme and beat until stiff peaks form.  Spread
over pie filling, saling to edge of crust to prevent shrinkage.
   Bake at 350 degrees for 12 to 15 minutes until lightly browned.  Makes
enough topping for one 9-inch pie.

                              Meringue (Recipe #2)

4 egg whites                  1 (7 1/2 ounce) jar marshmallow creme

   Beat egg whites with electric mixer on high speed until foamy.  Reduce
speed to medium.  Beat in marshmallow creme.  Continue beating for 5 minutes.
Spread meringue over top of cooled filling sealing edges well.
   Bake in a preheated 425-degree oven for 8 minutes or until meringue is set
and peaks are golden.  Let cool.

                              Meringue (Recipe #3)

6 egg whites                 2 cups marshmallow creme

   Preheat oven to 475 degrees.  Beat egg whites until soft peaks form.  Add
marshmallow creme, 1/4 cup at a time.  Beat well after each addition.  Beat
until stiff peaks form.  Spread, sealing edges.  Bake at 475 degrees for 2 to
3 minutes or until meringue has browned.
