          Carne Asada

          2 T. butter
          2 medium onions, sliced
          2 garlic cloves, mashed
          4 fresh mild green chili peppers,
            sliced
          1 canned hot green chili pepper,
            chopped
          3 T. juice from canned hot green
            chili peppers
          3 to 4 tomatoes, peeled and
            finely chopped
          3 green onions, finely chopped
          2 lb. top sirloin steak
          Corn tortillas

          Melt butter in a skillet and saute' onions, garlic and
          mild chili peppers until onions are translucent.  Add hot
          green chili pepper, juice from hot peppers, tomatoes and
          green onions, cook until mixture comes to a boil.
          Meanwhile broil steak to desired doneness.  Serve sauce
          over broiled steak, accompanied with heated corn tortillas
          for rolling around pieces of meat and sauce.  Note:  This
          is a mild recipe so for extra hotness...add more of the
          chili peppers and/or their juice.
