
     By default AA (AutoAnswer) is OFF (ATS0=0). To turn AA on, ATS0=1.  To

set and SAVE,  ATS0=1&W.  If it has 'stuck' in AA then ATS0=0&W will  reset

to  not answer, and save it. For a PC usually AT&C1&D2 should also be  set.

For a MAC,  &C0 or &C1 seems OK, but for AA it must be &D0 (not &D2).

     Some  software sends ATA to the modem to tell it to answer,  when  the

modem sends 'RING' to the software. If the software does this, then  ATS0=0

is correct.

     When the AA LED is off, it should blink ON for each ring, when the LED

is ON, it should blink OFF for each ring.
