To use a Zoom FaxModem with a BBS and fax rec'v, you do the following

(it must be CLASS-2 faxmodem) Assume your BBS init string is AT&F&C1&D2.

You add to the string +FCLASS=2 to set it to Fax mode. You may add S0=1 for

autoanswer, or let the BBS software issue an ATA to answer the RING. When

the modem answers it will go CONNECT XXXX if it connects as a modem. The

BBS software will behave normally.

If it connects as a FAX it will issue a +FCON, followed soon by an

OK. The OK means it is back in command mode, so your FAX software can give

whatever commands it needs to carry the process further.

I don't know exactly what you need to do to get the FAX software

'processing'. After some software recognises the +FCON, then I assume a

batch file which calls the rec'v function. This would be a good question

for the Mfr of the FAX software. The modem will be in FAX mode, and ready,

so it's all up the the FAX software at this point.
