                         NON-ERROR-CORRECTING COMMAND
                         ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ ~~~~~~~
   The Nation Institute of Standards and Technology as well as the US Naval
   Observatory and Canadian National Research Council time services require
   the use of non-error-correcting modem connections.
   If you have a non-error-correcting modem, you should indicate the command:
                AT
   in the edit box for the initialization command.
   If you have an error-correcting mmodem, please input the initialization
   command string for turning off the function for _your_ particular make of
   modem which can be found in the instruction manual provided with your
   modem.  Some common command strings are:
                AT&K0&Q0      for many CCITT type modems
                AT\N0\Q0      for many MNP type modems
                AT\N0%C0      for Rockwell modems
                AT&Q0         for Hayes V series compatibles
                AT&B0&M0      for US Robotics modems
   The CCITT command string is initially supplied as a default, but MUST be
   compatible with your modem or MUST be modified.
   The modem will then be initialized automatically before the time call is
   initiated and will automatically be reset to your normal initialization
   condition after completion of resetting the computer time.
