You ask me "who made you a judge?"
My answer is that God has made me a judge, and made me
responsible for what I accept.
You say that you have a problem with that? Check out the
following.
MAT 7:15 "Beware of false prophets, which come to you in
sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves." Jesus
Christ warns us that many false prophets will come in His name.
That is to say they will profess to be "Christian" but will work to
destroy a person's faith instead of building it up.
2PE 2:1 "But there were false prophets also among the people,
even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall
bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them,
and bring upon themselves swift destruction." The apostle Peter
also warns that just as in Christ's day the Pharisees were teaching
falsehood while being recognized as religious leaders, so there
will be the same throughout history.
1JO 4:1 "Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the
spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are
gone out into the world."
Now I submit that only a fool accepts everything everybody
says. Especially when so many people are saying so many things.
Some one has got to be lying! The question, of course, is, "WHO?"
1CO 6:2,3 "Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the
world? and if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to
judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels?
how much more things that pertain to this life?"
1CO 14:29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the
other judge. In these last two verse is my mandate to judge. Not
the people themselves, but the truth of what they say. That
includes people who profess to be teachers.
