By Paul Fusco (MacroMan)

As Macroman resurrects from his unfortunate demise at the hands of a Katang
after being severly beaten by the enemy, he looks around and sees his troops
struggling! The gate guard has been dead since the second day of battle and
supplies are short and in great demand. However wealth is important so he
decides to let them survive one more day! When he leaves the complex he
stumbles on F*I*D*O, who's been harassing his troops. He has slain this
perpatrator once and finds it insulting that the fiend would camp so close
to the complex again! With this defeat under his belt he turns and decides
to req and new guard.

With supplies replentished and the troops satisfied, with Transaxe and
Exavator in hand, he heads for terrain 3 to attempt to regain the lost
health. He quickly finds an Electric Sword and Devastator and sets to the
task of killing. When the dust settles, the remains of 34 monsters and
their machines lay feast for the Vultures. When he camped, the vultures
were constructing a shrine to the Majestic Macroman for the bounty he
has provided. The story continues!

Acid rain pours down on the wastelands this day. There's no escaping the
corrosive dropletts falling from level to level as Macroman stalks the
Vengier! Finally after dualing with no less than 20 monsters the elusive
Vengier appears. And dies. But reveals the location of the Oracle with
his dying breath! Finally the break Macro needed.

While tracking the Oracle he accidently stumbles across the enemy's
level 2 base. "Why would they leave duroplasts so close to their
base," he wonders. But never-the-less there it lies. Being low on
medpacks and the complex again without supply he chances a hit and run
tactic. Although his attack does only 17% damage and he's knocked back 20
feet, he manages to escape, find the oracle and stock pile more duroplasts
to aid the squad in demolishing the enemy base.

A resurrected Sluggo with the Squads remaining crystals and no Med Packs
valiantly dashes for his life to construct Macromania's first base.
With 1 hit point left he manages to run for his life to map 3 where he
constructs ALAMO. Designed to confuse and confound!

Stanley made the most of the duroplasts scattered around the wastelands
against the enemy base. Without the availability of medpacks, he was
not able to finish the job but managed to make a dent never-the-less.

Macroman Smiles!!! It was another good day. The spread has decreased to
just over 50% and the sun may break through the acid rain storm yet!!!

"They can't break down Dallas without a gate guard!" Macroman says as he
inspects the latest log. Gen. Sluggo is in trouble again and recruits are
dying trying to stock pile enough duroplasts to blow their bases. But then
considering the size of the charges needed, it's doubtful he could do it
himself. With Tevix-Baun and Z-tempest loaded to the max he heads for the
complex.

He considers long the possibility of the advantage he will give Dallas by
requisitioning a new guard but blowing 2 bases is going to require all the
help he can get. He's got 60,000 crystals but the team account is down to
9000 and his bank account has only 20,000 so he's forced to draw a loan to
req the guard. Reluctantly his signs the deal and replaces the guard. At
least the duroplast shippments will be intact.

With a duroplast loaded pack he takes off toward the level 1 enemey base
Laminator2 located. About halfway he drops his weapons and armor and picks
up what he can scavage along the way. At the door of the base he
contemplates the structure. "Hmm," he thinks to himself, "This ain't gonna
be easy!" He lights the fuse........<BOOM>!!! He's blasted south 20 miles.
He runs, he's back, he light's another......<BOOM>!!! This time he's
blasted to the northeast corner of the map. NEXT TO A CYCLONE!!! RUN!!!
He's back, he lights another .......<BOOM>!!! Again he's blasted and again
he lights another!!! Over and over and at last it's BREECHED!

The prize within the enemy base is not great but enough to make up the
costs of the duroplasts and the loan. He replenishes his pack with
duroplasts and returns to the base. A supprise is waiting! Bladen Warrier
hides within the base but Macroman seeks out and destroys him with little
effort. "This will make up for the replacement costs of the guard!" he
thinks as he picks up Bladen Warriers weapons and equipment to sell.
One more trip to the complex and this base is history.

He returns to start the task of destroying the structure. He
considers using the teleporter to teleport within range of their level 2
base located by Stanley but realizes he must restock his supplies. With
the last duroplast, <found inside the base> he blows it away and returns
to his weapons.

He relaxes only long enough to consume a short lunch. With less than
half the daylight left, he must hurry if he is to be successful at blowing
another base. Once again he returns to the complex and stocks his pack with
fresh duroplasts. The funds no longer a consideration with all the weapons
and equipment he was able to salvage from his task on map 1. Now he starts
for map 2 and another enemy base.

He sighs with relief as he arrives at the base and finds it's defences at a
much lower level than before. With the added insurance of several duro-
plasts located along the way, he commences! He lights......<BOOM>, 20 feet
he's knocked away... He lights another, then another and finally....<BOOM>
... it's breeched. This time the reward is greater. There are better
weapons and a few more. Worth the walk to sell. Yet there lying in wait
are 3 enemy killers. With little time left, he attempts his best effort
at destroying one of more of them but has little luck. Exhaustion has set
in and he strugles for his life. With one final effort he escapes and is
finally able to relax and check his wounds. Although the enemy killers
have escaped his wrath it's been a good day. 2 of their bases are dust.
