                RETRIBUTION

PART 10 BY THE CHOIR BOYZ TEAM.......................

For some reason, it gave Black Widow great pleasure in pouring
the home remedy down Athena's throat. Athena had protested
and suggested that the records be passed "naturally", but
Black Widow was having no part of that. No one was ever sure
if Black Widow acted so quickly for the sake of the squadron
or just because Black Widow was Black Widow. But no one
really cared after Black Widow and Athena analyzed the
records.

Prior to the incident with Scarecrow, Hawks body had been
transported to the Complex for resurrection. His body had
suffered numerous wounds that were unmistakably inflicted by a
Dreadvault. The records indicated that Hawk was found with no
weapons, armor, equipment, nor water crystals. Lesser valued
weapons and armor had been found a few yards from his body,
indicating that the Dreadvault had not taken Hawk's arsenal.
A Dreadvault would have been as well equipped as any recruit
on level 4 of the Wastelands, and had the Dreadvault looted
Hawk, he would have left similar weapons and equipment behind.
Hawk had been stripped by someone else. But by whom? Black
Widow hastily relayed the information to Scarecrow.

Smith&Jones could barely stand. His speech was so slurred
that Scarecrow had to strain to understand the words that
Smith&Jones struggled to form. There seemed to be more of
Barl's concoction on his clothing now than in his belly, and
it was somewhat amusing to Scarecrow to see Smith&Jones
contort his face to make recognizable syllables. Although
Smith&Jones was a member of "Guns & Roses", Scarecrow never
let his guard down. He kept abreast of the various base logs
to see if an abnormal amount of medpacks, rations, telegrasps
and the like mysteriously disappeared form their supplies. He
knew that Smith&Jones and Eliminator were "pals" and they even
bore a strong resemblance. What they mostly had in common was
that they talked......a lot. Scarecrow thought that it was
worth a shot, but he was running out of water crystals and
Barl was starting to get that "look" of his again.
Smith&Jones reached into his pocket and pulled out a huge
mound of water crystals. Now "he" felt generous and offered
to buy a round for "everyone" in the place. Scarecrow glared
at him as though he had just caught him red handed embezzling
from the squadron account in the bank. Smith&Jones sheepishly
smiled and said, "Don't worry, I got these from Eliminator".
He then laughed. "Hawk didn't need them anyway". Scarecrow
scooped up the crystals and told Smith&Jones to go to the
Recruit Chambers and sleep it off. Eliminator was the spark
that had ignited Hawk.
