 INTRODUCTION

The enclosed file lets you upgrade your RIPterm Professional software to the
latest version. This is a done using a patch file, which knows the changes
between the versions.

This patch file works only on RIPterm Pro v2.00.02. If you have an older
version of RIPterm Pro you wish to patch, there are additional patch files that
you must download. The patches available are:

        Patch File Description
        -------------- ----------------------------
        RT200-02.ZIP Updates RIPterm v2.00.00 to v2.00.02
        RT201-02.ZIP Updates RIPterm v2.00.01 to v2.00.02

This patch can be freely distributed, as long as it is not changed in any way.

 NEW FEATURES

RIPterm v2.00.03 fixed a bug with the order resident queries and button/mouse
fields were processed. This affected Remote Access BBS's, and may have
affected some Searchlight and Wildcat! systems as well.

RIPterm v2.00.02 has several new features. One is that there is now a tutorial
to help users become familiar with RIPterm Pro, and how it works. The Status
Bar is now clickable to quickly access features in RIPterm such as the Dialing
Directory and the Help System.

All the changes are listed in the README.DOC file included in the RIPTERM
directory.

 RT20X-02.ZIP PATCH and MACRO FILES

The v2.00.02 patch file installs a new RIPTERM.MAC keystroke macro file. Your
old RIPTERM.MAC file is backup up into a directory under the RIPTERM directory
called RTBACKUP. To merge your macro together is five easy steps from within
RIPterm.

    1) Open the Keystroke Macro Editor (type ALT-K at the session screen).

    2) Click on the Load button.

    3) Type RTBACKUP\RIPTERM.MAC when prompted for the name of the .MAC file.

    4) Select "Add" when prompted whether to Add or Replace.

    5) Click the "Save" button to save the newly merged macros to a common
       macro file.

You may delete the files in the RTBACKUP directory when you're done.

 DELETING PATCH FILES

Once all the patches have been applied, the patch files PATCH.BAT, *.RTP,
RTPATCH.EXE, and README.TXT (this file) can be deleted, as well as any files
in the RTBACKUP directory. You can also remove the RTBACKUP directory.
