@X38 @X3EHelp: @X3FFile View                                                           @X3B @X0B
@X38@X3B@X0E

This command allows you to (L)ist the contents of @X0F@FILENAME@@X0E,
(R)ead files inside it and search for text while reading, (F)lag
individual files for download, and (S)elect other files to view.
Other options are also available and are described below.

   @X0FSubcommands

@X0BL@X03 The List of contents in @X0F@FILENAME@@X03 will automatically
be displayed when it is first selected for viewing. Use the L
command to List the contents and see your activity again.
You may enter L alone to list all of the files, or you may list
only those files that meet a filename specification. Enter a
[SPACE] after the L, then the filename. You may include wildcards
in the filename if desired, for instance "L *.DOC" (do not enter
the quotes) would display files in @FILENAME@ with an extension
            of .DOC.

@X0BR@X03 You may Read files contained within @X0F@FILENAME@@X03.
Wildcards may be used. For instance, if you want to Read all
of the files, enter @X0FR *.*@X03. If you wanted to read just
those files with a .DOC extension enter @X0FR *.DOC@X03. You will
be asked before Reading each file which matches your wildcard
specification if you want to Read it. Enter Y/N or A to Abort
the wildcard file find and return to the File View prompt.
The Sysop may have limits set governing the size of the file
you may Read or how much of the file you may Read.

At the "More" prompt which appears at the end of each page of a
text file, you will see the following subcommands:
            (@X0BF@X03)ind text within the file
            (@X0BR@X03)epeat the last (F)ind
            (@X0BP@X03)ageUp redisplays the previous page
(@X0BT@X03)op returns to the top of the file being read
(@X0BE@X03)nd goes to the bottom of the file being read
(@X0B>@X03) scroll screen right to display columns 54-132
(@X0B<@X03) scroll screen left to display columns 1-79
NOTE: If your terminal program has a "doorway" mode and it is
toggled on, you may use the appropriate cursor keys for PageUp,
Home(Top), End, and the left/right arrows. PageDown may also
be used for the (Enter) key.

@X0BF@X03 You may Flag individual files for separate downloading.
The file which contains your Flagged files is @X0F@FLAGFILE@@X03
and must be downloaded from the main PCBoard command prompt.
An information file will be included in @FLAGFILE@ so you
will have a reference as to where the individual files came
from. The Sysop may have limits set regarding Flagging and
you will be informed of them during program operation.

@X0BI@X03 You may Inventory the contents of @X0F@FLAGFILE@@X03. The contents
of @FLAGFILE@ will be displayed, along with the compressed
file name from which each file in @FLAGFILE@ originated.

@X0BV@X03 You may View embedded compressed files within @FILENAME@ if
any are present. The embedded files must have a recognizable
extension of ZIP, ARJ, RAR, etc. in order for them to be viewed.
Entering "V" again while viewing an embedded archive will give
you the opportunity to return to the original compressed file.
You may perform any File View function on the embedded compressed
file that can be performed on the host compressed file.

@X0BS@X03 You may Select other (compressed) files to view from the
File View prompt, without returning to the main PCBoard prompt.

@X0BC@X03 You may view the CRC value of all files. The files within
@X0F@FILENAME@@X03 will be re-displayed with their CRC value listed
            in the "Other Information" column.

@X0BE@X03 You may view Extra technical information in a ZIP, ARJ or RAR
file. When (E) is selected, the following technical information
for each file in a ZIP, ARJ or RAR is displayed:

            * Type : This is 'text' or 'binary' mode as determined by PKZIP
or ARJ while compressing each file in @FILENAME@.
For RAR files, this field indicates if the compressed
                       file is "locked".

            * Host OS: This is the operating system that @FILENAME@ was
created in (DOS, OS/2, Unix, and others).

            * Made by: The version of PKZIP or RAR which created each file
in @FILENAME@. It is the "Rev #" for ARJ files.

            * -AV : This will display whether or not ZIP or RAR files
contain an 'Authenticity Verification' stamp, or if
if an ARJ file contains a 'security envelope'.
NOTE: The F V function does not test the validity
of the -AV stamps, it simply displays if an -AV
stamp exists in the compressed files.

@X0BB@X03 Brief listing of @X0F@FILENAME@@X03 contents. Only the file name,
the uncompressed length, and "other information" columns are
displayed in the brief listing format. You may enter B alone to
list all of the files, or you may list only those files that meet
a filename specification. Enter a [SPACE] after the B, then the
filename. You may include wildcards in the filename if desired,
for instance "B *.DOC" (do not enter the quotes) would display
files in @FILENAME@ with an extension of .DOC.

@X0BT@X03 Transfer Time Information. This displays the number of minutes
it would take to download the compressed file currently being
viewed, along with its total actual size. Also displayed is the
same information for the flagged file that contains any files
            flagged for separate downloading.

@X0BX@X03 You may toggle the menu display on or off.

@X0BP@X03 Program information. This command displays the version and
registration information about the File View program.

@X0BFLAG@X03 Entering the word FLAG will cause @X0F@FILENAME@@X03 to be
flagged for download when the F V function ends.

@X0BEnter@X03 Pressing enter will quit the File View function and
return you to the PCBoard File List Command prompt.
