functionality of FlowChart. If you have comments or suggestions

OVERVIEW
--------
The FlowChart program was originally written in 1993. Although
initially designed for educational and engineering usage, it is
a useful tool for anyone with a desire to produce flow charts.
Users of older IBM-PCs and compatibles can use FlowChart because
it is a DOS program, though VGA (640 x 480) capability is needed
to display flow charts and a PCL5 or LaserJet compatible printer
is required to print charts.

DESCRIPTION
-----------
This DOS flowcharter is highly versatile, fully functional, rule
checking flow chart generator. A selection of 18 symbols is
provided and on-screen help is always available.

To ensure easy editing, this flowcharter uses a tiled rather than
a free-form drawing approach. This enables single symbols or
blocks of symbols to be moved and copied without causing
alignment problems. Since all paths between symbols have a flow
direction, illegal editing operations are prevented. Flow chart
paths can go in all directions, left, right, up and down, as well
as cross other paths.

Output to a laser printer results in clear, presentation quality
flow charts. Many graphical options are available so you will
always be able to produce flow charts well suited to your needs.

FILE VIEWING
------------
While an image is being viewed, symbol type, position and text
can not be changed. This ensures that no accidental
modifications can be made. But you can change the colours of
the symbols, symbol outlines and connectors. The graphical style
of the symbols and connectors can also be changed. A Zoom option
enables viewing of the overall structure of a chart.

FILE EDITING
------------
From the "Edit" menu you can enter and modify your charts. You
can use all the features available while viewing (see above) as
well as being able to add and remove symbols, connections and
text. Tidy flow charts are guaranteed by using a tiled format
rather than a free-form format. Another advantage of this
feature is that blocks of symbols can easily be moved and
copied without causing alignment problems. Automatic flow
direction checking guarantees 'sensible' charts.
