1.0 Introduction

CAPITALS OF THE WORLD ((c) 1988, All Rights Reserved) is a
challenging game which requires a player to learn the capitals of
the world. A player is scored after playing based on accuracy
and speed. CAPITALS OF THE WORLD was developed in order to
promote education and interest in world geography.

CAPITALS OF THE WORLD is a shareware program which you can
distribute and copy freely. If you enjoy playing CAPITALS OF THE
WORLD, please send $20.00 as a registration fee in the form of a

Second, all registered CAPITALS OF THE WORLD users can receive
periodic software updates which will reflect your comments and
suggestions. Your cooperation is appreciated. Thank you.

2.0 Information

There are three files which are part of the CAPITALS OF THE
WORLD game package. Those files are:

README.TXT - This file containing game information.

CAPITALS.EXE - CAPITALS OF THE WORLD game program.

SCORES.DAT - The scores file where high scores are kept.
(NOTE: The initial scores file will simply be the default
file containing all "---" and scores of "9999")

Whenever CAPITALS is started, the game checks to see if the
file SCORES.DAT is present in the same directory as CAPITALS OF
THE WORLD. If it is not present, a default scores file
containing scores of "9999" will be created. Otherwise, your
current high scores will be read in when the game is started.
