                       SOME NOTES ON QUICKTEST

QUIKTEST is the English version of an originally German program
developed by a foreign language teacher for his students to
train and practise vocabulary.

A few sample files are included.
However, the idea is that users make their own vocab files,
according to their needs. The term "Vocab file" should not be
understood too narrowly - such a file may consist of anything
which can be tested in a question-answer way, like phone numbers,
birthdays, capitals of countries or states and so on.

The fact that you get a mark when you are tested has obviously
encoured students a lot to use the program regularly. It seems
to be strengthening people's self-confidence when they improve
their marks in each go. Or it simply is - fun...?

The program is self-explanatory. However, a detailed description
of all the program's functions is integrated in the program.

QUIKTEST should work with all common computers and DOS-versions.
Installed on your hard disk, it is much faster than when used from
a diskette.

To start QUIKTEST, just enter QUIKTEST - or even QT - and follow
the screen instructions. The menu item "G) eneral hints" leads you
to a submenu that lists the headlines of the particular help texts.

Before your first use of QUIKTEST, it may be a good idea to browse
through these texts.

I wish you success and fun!
