II. ZIP File Listing

The GRADE.ZIP file should include the following files:


	GRADE.EXE
	README.TXT
	INSTALL.MAC
	REGISTER.TXT

III. Installing
================

	To install Visual Basic Grade Manager 1.0 on your system, follow these simple steps.

		1)UNZIP the GRADE.ZIP file into the C:\GRADE directory.
		2)Open Recorder (from the Accessories group)
		3)Select File from the menu bar and pull down to Open
		4)Type in c:\grade\install.mac
		5)minimize the Recorder window
		6)Press [ALT] + [SHIFT] + I to install file.
			Don't worry about the beeps.  They are Not a 			problem

1. Notes	
==========

	This program is the Windows version of QBasic Grade Manager.  It has all the features of QBasic Grade Manager 2.5, except for the Help File.  This version is unregistered.  Please register this program by filling out REGISTER.TXT and E- Mailing it to me @ 75502, 571.  When you register, you will get the newest version of Visual Basic Grade Manager, won't have to wait for introduction screen, and order info screen, menu and button access, and notifications of other programs I may develop.

2. How to Use...

	A. Starting
=====================

	To start the program, double click on the Visual Basic Grade Manager.  Once the black introduction screen appears, click on your choice (Registration Info, Continue, Exit).  NOTE: !!!!IMPORTANT!!!! DO NOT close any windows.  Use the buttons to go back, or to quit

	B. Menus

	To use the menus, simply click on the option you want to use.

	C. Calculate Grade

		C1. Screen
============================
	To use enter the information in the Before Update frame, pressing enter after you enter each block of information(the beep lets you know that your entry was accepted).  Then enter the information in the Current Assignment frame, again pressing enter after each block of information. Repeat the last step as many times as needed, just delete what was in the block before.  When done, click on Calculate %.  To erase everything on the screen, click Clear All Data.  To exit this function, click on Return to Calculate Grade Menu.

		C2. Printer
============================
	The process is the same as in section C1, but this displays several assignments at a time.  It is arranged in columns.  The first Text block is for the name of the assignment, the next one is for the points earned.  The next for the points possible.  DO NOT enter information in yellow boxes.  When done, or the screen is full click on Print to print the screen.  Then click on Return to Menu or Clear all data.  Both titles are self explanitory.

	D. Average
====================
	Enter the number of students or classes to average together, and click OK.  Next enter the percentage of the first person, then click next.  Do this until that section disappears.  Then click on print or return to menu.  These options are self explanitory.

	E. Show Grading Scale on an Assignment

	Enter the total number of points possible on the assignment, press enter, then click OK.  Then it will display the break down in the upper left-hand corner.  Click on one of the buttons to exit or print.
