                               WHAT IS SHAREWARE ?

Shareware is a concept in software marketing. The end result of this
marketing philosophy is that the software is purchased directly from
     the author.

This eliminates the costly marketing, promotion, packaging, and
middleman, which allows sophisticated software to be purchased at a
     fraction of the commercial cost.

Some shareware programs are copyrighted, which restricts by law as to
who can make copies, distribute, or modify the program. Most authors
encourage users to freely distribute unmodified copies of their
     programs.

The initial cost is for distribution of the program. If the program
fulfills the user's needs, then the user is asked to register with the
author, allowing each author to improve and perfect their individual
     program.

In most cases, the registration fee includes full documentation for
the program, technical assistance, and update information.
