A couple of programs i slapped together to get my music cd library into a paradox database. Further developments will await the completion of initial cataloging. I expect to complete the windows implementation either in C or using Paradox for Windows and C. This will be under development during the summer months.

In any case, i supplied the source code for those who are looking for examples. There seems to be a dearth of cd-rom drive programming examples. The cd-rom routines are available on the Media Vision BBS and may be specific to the Pro Audio Spectrum 16. I have tested and used this program on a Compaq 386/20 using a NEC CDR-84 CD ROM drive and the Pro Audio Spectrum 16 SCSI adapter.

CDASCII reads musicbox ( a windows app ) format ASCII files into a paradox table.

CDMUSIC reads info from music CD-ROMs into paradox tables. At this point it requires a CD-ROM drive present and the appropriate drivers loaded. F8 deletes disc records where no track records exist. F9 prints basic cd/track listing to lpt1:. F1 searchs for cd's by entered artist - artist must be fully filled out for search to work. F2 brings up track listing for current cd. For cd's with a single track press ctrl-enter to save track name on track screen. Make sure to move to next field on each screen after entering/altering field contents - this saves contents in field buffer. <ESC> ejects cd and saves data after entry is completed. F3 exits program. Any questions?
