WORDPERFECT 5.1 FOR DOS GRAPHICS/GRAPHICS CONVERSION/TABLES/EQUATIONS

GRAPHICS/GRAPHICS CONVERSION TROUBLESHOOTING
1.  Check WP51 General Troubleshooting, and then check the following:
2.  Check Reveal Codes (Alt-F3).
    a.  Codes for paragraph anchored boxes should be at the beginning
        of a paragraph.
    b.  Page anchored graphics should be at the top of the page.
    c.  Look at settings in figure option codes.
3.  Check View Document (Shift-F7, V).  Does it look correct?
    a.  If it looks correct in View Document and is printing incorrectly,
        refer to the printer troubleshooting guide.
    b.  If you are using an EPS file try copying the file directly to the
        printer (e.g. COPY FILENAME.EPS LPT1).
4.  Exit WP, come back in and try again.
5.  Save the document, delete the graphics box & option codes from the
    document and recreate them.
6.  Duplicate from a clear WP document screen.
7.  Try using one of the .WPG graphics files that ship with WP.
8.  Third Party Graphics:  Try a different file format from the third party
    graphics package.
9.  Use appropriate startup options for WP and GRAPHCNV.EXE.
10. Run vanilla (no other programs or device drivers loading into memory).

REQUIRED INFORMATION FOR REPORTING A PROBLEM
1.  Version and release date of WP (press F3 at WP document screen).
2.  Printer driver date and definition used (press Shift-F7, S, H).
3.  A complete description of the problem and keystrokes to duplicate the
    problem.  Include results of all troubleshooting steps.  Include any
    situations where the problem does not occur or "work arounds" that
    eliminate the problem.
4.  Hardware information including computer brand/model, base memory,
    expanded memory, graphics card and monitor type/model, math co-processor,
    type of keyboard.
5.  Version and type of DOS.
6.  Exact contents of your AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS files.
7.  Hard disk size and capacity.
8.  Date of WP.DRS and GRAPHCNV.EXE files.
9.  Third Party Graphics:  Manufacturer and version of the third party
    graphics package and the file formats used.  If the graphics package is
    not listed on pages 276-278 of the WP5.1 manual, list a phone number for
    the manufacturer, if possible.
10. Manufacturer of graphics card and graphics screen type selected in WP.
11. List all TSRs (terminate stay resident programs).

MATERIALS TO BE SENT IN (UPLOADED) WITH A PROBLEM REPORT
1.  A document file that duplicate the problem (if applicable).
2.  A copy of the original graphics file from the third party graphics
    package.  If the package normally saves in a format other than the one
    that is being brought into WP, send in a copy of the file in the format
    used for WP and the package's "native" format.
3.  Include copies of your AUTOEXEC.BAT and CONFIG.SYS files.
4.  Please include your full name, address, phone number, WordPerfect
    license number, and size of diskettes your computer needs (3" or 5").
    You may send this information privately in a Comment to Sysop (use the
    "C" command on the BBS) or in an uploaded README file.
5.  NOTE--PLEASE READ:  Make sure you zip (compress) all requested files
    into one .ZIP file before upload to facilitate processing.  This will
    also ensure file integrity as well as decrease uploading time.  For

TABLES TROUBLESHOOTING
