    GENERAL COMPATIBILITY STATEMENT

All of Intel's external modems (SatisFAXtion Modem/400E, 14.4EX,
9600EX, 2400EX MNP, and 2400EX) can be used with nearly *ANY* RS-232
device. This includes data terminals, cash registers, or computers,
regardless of operating system. However, you need an IBM compatible
286,386 or 486 system running DOS 3.0 or higher to use the fax software
        for the SatisFAXtion/400E.

Intel's internal modems (SatisFAXtion Modem/100, 2400B Classic, and
2400B MNP modems will work in any IBM PC-compatible Classic bus-based
computer (PC/XT/AT) under the DOS operating system.

The 2400B modems also work under other operating systems (OS/2, Unix,
etc.). Once the board is installed and working, all you need is
communications software that runs under the operating system. These
modems WILL NOT work in Micro Channel-based computers.

The 2400B Modem 2 for Micro Channel-based computers will work in any
Micro Channel-based computer (IBM MOD 50/60/70/80 etc...).This modem
will not work in Classic-bus based computers.

    GENERAL COMPATIBILITY STATEMENT

There are no compatibility problems with any other add-in cards. It is
possible, however, to experience I/O address conflicts or IRQ conflicts
between an Intel internal modem and another board in the computer. I/O
address and IRQ conflicts are easily resolved by switching either the
modem or the other device to a different address or IRQ.

External modems cannot cannot cause conflicts because they use an
existing serial port in the computer or terminal.
