The following information tells whether or not certain computers are
compatible with your Intel product. In some cases there are also special
installation instructions. "(Field Report)" means the information came
from our customers and may not have been verified by Intel's compatibility
   lab.

   GENERAL INFORMATION

Intel external modems are compatible with any computer or terminal with
a serial port that supports asynchronous communications. This includes
IBM PC, XT, AT and compatibles, IBM PS/2 Models 30, 50, 50z, 70, and
       80, and Apple computers.

   AMIGA 500

Intel tested this computer and is is compatible with Intel external
       modems.

WARNING: As stated in the Amiga owners manual, pins 9 and 10 of the
Amiga serial port are connected to +/-12 volts. Users must
either buy a cable that doesn't use these pins or disconnect
these two pins from the cable. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD DAMAGE
                   THE MODEM!

   AMIGA 2500

Intel tested this computer and is is compatible with Intel external
       modems.

WARNING: As stated in the Amiga owners manual, pins 9 and 10 of the
Amiga serial port are connected to +/-12 volts. Users must
either buy a cable that doesn't use these pins or disconnect
these two pins from the cable. FAILURE TO DO SO COULD DAMAGE
                   THE MODEM!

   DATA TERMINALS

The Intel 2400EX modem is compatible with data terminals that conform
to the RS-232C serial port standard. If the modem doesn't work, you
may need a "null modem" cable, a cable that has pins 2 and 3 cross
connected. Pin 2 (send) on one end is connected to pin 3 (receive) on
the other end. Some terminals, such as the Televideo 925, can swap
       these pins internally.

The pin assignments for the modem cable are as follows:
