                       The State of the Nation

Not much feedback came in on this yet. It will probably take a few more
issues before we get much. But here's what is happening around here....

Spokane, Wa. 509 area code

The Micro Addictus Hospital (featured in last months issue) recently got a
second CD-ROM drive. This brings the total shareware available on CD-ROM
media to nore than 1.2 gigabytes. One drive has the Night Owl 8 CD and the
other has an Adult CD.

Bobs BBS is installing a second line. (as soon as the ground thaws...)

The old 20 meg drive that frist housed Spokane Online finally began to give up
the ghost, subsuquently, it has been removed from service.

The SysOp of the Phoenix BBS, Dave Laird, is now hosting a Fidonet sub called
the Phoenix Echo. On this echo you can find some entertaining works by local
writers like Dave Laird, Bob Kirkpatrick and anyoe else who might drop by.
